Who is responsible

The contract checker
The checker runs entirely in your browser. Text you paste and files you choose are read on your own device and are never uploaded, sent to us or stored by us. When you close the page, it is gone.
The seal lookup
Seal IDs you type are checked in your browser. When live records are available, your browser will read them directly from the public ledger they are recorded on.
Email, applications and reports
If you write to us, apply or send a report, we receive what you choose to send, including your email address. We use it only to reply, to run an audit you asked for, or to look into what you reported. We don't sell it, share it for marketing or add you to a mailing list. We keep correspondence only as long as we need it for that purpose, and no longer than 24 months after the matter is closed.
Audits
During an audit we review company documents, contracts, statements, access settings and records of identity and consent checks, and we speak privately with creators, models and staff. We use this information only for the audit. Wherever possible we review records without keeping copies. Audit files are kept securely for the 12-month certification period plus 24 months, so that decisions can be checked and appealed, and are then deleted. Reports are never published; only a fingerprint of each report is public. We never publish personal information about creators, models or staff.
Hosting and visit counts
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not track individuals across sites; we see totals such as page views and countries, never who you are. Fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, at hello@aboveboardstandard.com. If you live in Colombia, the European Union, the United Kingdom or a US state with a privacy law, you have these rights under that law, and you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top.
